What is Decision Rights Matrix?

Decision rights matrix is also called Pugh Matrix. A tool used by organizations in teams to help decision making. There will be a pre-defined criteria which helps evaluate a decision. Generally, when a decision is to be made we tend to have several factors affecting it and decision making becomes challenging. this is where the decision rights matrix plays a key role.

Let us assume we want to buy a laptop. There are key specifications, we look at before coming up with a decision on the model. The specifications can be listed and rated based on the importance and summation of all the ratings is done and compared with multiple laptops to see which has the highest score.
